Fifth Tuesday Fun- Installment 3, Fall Into Reading Giveaway

It's time for some more Fifth Tuesday Fun, and since this giveaway falls in the fall (no pun intended!) I decided that now would be a good time for one of my readers to prepare for the coming winter by storing up a few books, just as a squirrel might do with her stash of acorns.

After all, good books are almost as paramount to survival as a winter's store of food!

Almost.

And how does one store up books? Well, one person will get to do this with a $20.00 gift card to Amazon, and the rest of you will have to find a friend with a good supply who is willing to share!!!

I have made entering this giveaway as easy as falling off a log! All you have to do is leave a comment below and you will be entered into the drawing.

However, there is one small stipulation: this gift card must be used to purchase books only!!! I guess you'll be on your honor with this one, but lets just say that I will be sorely disappointed to hear that it was used it to buy a new spatula or a pair of flip flops!

No, indeed, this must go towards buying a few books off your wish list (because I am surely not the only one who has one, right?) and if you have no wishes for yourself, then by all means buy a few good children's books for your personal library, for we all know that if you're a mother or a teacher or an aunt or a babysitter (or all of the above!) that your sanity on a cold and rainy November day might also be contingent on the children in your charge having some good books around!

Again, in order to enter the giveaway, please leave a comment along with your email address. The gift card will be sent via email to the winner, so you must leave an email in order to enter, with the only exception being those who have reason to believe that I already have their email address on file!

The giveaway will close Sunday evening, October 4, at 10:00 pm, which will give you plenty of time to consider  just which books will help keep you warm this winter!

I can't think of anything better to fall into this time of year then a good book, can you?

Joanna, you are a terrific writer! I often have to read your post 2 weeks late or so, with no internet at our house, but I always get a laugh at your funny sense of humor. :-)

  8. I have a book in mind... Thanks for your generous offer to hope for a new book!

Reading isn't something I do a whole lot of, but I do see the value of learning much about life by having your nose in a book.

  9. Life's responsibilities have eliminated a lot of chances to read, but I still love to read! It would be amazing to be able to chose a new book. The trouble would be finding time to read it! I have two children who are complete book worms, and the third child is displaying the potential to become one, so a child's book would certainly be a good choice.
